About

About the Project

EmpoTech Young Innovators is a flagship project under our EmpoComm Youth Empowerment Programme, delivered in partnership with our local training partners.

Selected young people participate in an intensive one to three months training programme focused on STEAM and Robotics. Alongside technical training, participants receive coaching and mentorship to strengthen their communication, leadership, teamwork and teaching skills.

But for us, training is only the beginning. After completing the programme, selected young people are employed by EmpoComm Ghana as Robotics instructors, giving them an opportunity to gain practical work experience and earn an income. They are then deployed to local schools, where they facilitate robotics workshops and introduce children to hands-on learning, creativity, problem-solving and technology.

Context

Turning Potential into Opportunity

Instead of simply talking about youth unemployment, we are creating a model that connects skills development directly to employment and community impact.

A young person gains valuable STEAM and Robotics skills. EmpoComm creates an employment opportunity for them. They gain experience as an instructor while earning an income. At the same time, children in local schools gain access to practical technology education.
